Today, we had a supermoon!

According to, Richard Nolle described a supermoon as "a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit."

This is the year's third-closest supermoon; the closest one will be the full moon coming up on August 10, 2014.

I love learning about all the cool stuff space and the universe have to offer.

The word "supermoon" has the potential for some puns, so in the spirit of that, my little sister drew me her version of a supermoon. Love it!
